Blood Brother has always had a certain edge to us, and we’ve put that into practise with the brand gracing the pages of our print magazine multiple times. They’re always one brand we’ve strived to involve.
For Autumn Winter 2017 Blood Brother had a superbly interesting concept, ‘The Thames’. The brand wanted to discover why the infamous river reflects London life and its heritage so well.
This echoed through the collection both in a literal and conceptual sense. The brand continued its use of prints, with jackets and other garments referencing the mapping and cartography of the river. One black bomber jacket was imprinted with the mapping across the entire back, with black on black, creating a edgy, yet beautiful effect.
Even the production of the show space echoed the inspiration, with large perspex boxes containing items found from The Thames, whether this was an oversized teddy bear, or traffic island lighting.
The collection itself maintained a majority colour palette of black and orange, with Blood Brother’s signature oversized coats and bombers throughout the presentation. The detailing of prints and embroidery was also a great touch. Our favourite detailing had to be the strapping on certain garments, adding more of our favourite aesthetic.
A collection we absolutely loved, and an aesthetic that was right up our street. Check out our favourites below, and look for more from Blood Brother in out print issues!
