January 28, 2015
Yan Yufeng is 22 and is an interesting soul from Chengdu, China, but living in Rome and attending the Art Academy where he studies Art’s Graphic disciplines. His personal style could be described as eclectic minimalism.
What does a typical day in the life of Yan Yufeng involve?
Unlike a normal person, I barely leave my bed when I’m at home. I’m a student, so I go to school several days a week. Sometime I like visiting art museums with friends, because I think Museums are always very interesting. During the week end I like to party as well tho !
Which are your wardrobe staples and why?
I guess it is a long coat, I’m very much into extra-long clothing.
What’s your favorite item in your closet?
It’s an earring by Percy Lau, I don’t use it that often though. That art piece itself was controversial at the time, but to me It’s so funny! Also I love my round glasses as well, I can’t live without them.
How would you describe your personal style?
Funny, absolutely. I don’t want myself to look boring ever.
Where do you shop?
Online shopping, there is not any particular retail shop or brands.
Your style icons?
I dont really have style icons, but I would say I enjoy observing people and check out their outfits, every single person has something very unique, their own style shows up their personality.
Two most important moments that influenced your style?
Studying painting was definitely the startup for my everything, and then moving from China to Italy. I was blessed that I got such a great chance of meeting interesting people, and making new friends, who can actually share with me their perspectives.
