For Autumn Winter 2013, Fyodor Golan gave Stylenoir the moment we have been waiting for. For years now we’ve followed Fyodor and Golan, spellbound by their incredible talent and outstanding creativity that flows from the boy’s minds. Their story telling through fashion is beautiful and mesmerising, but for AW13 the design duo certainly took inspiration from the dark. The result was a macabre wonderland.

From the leather studded collars that accented this empowered, yet hypnotic aesthetic, to the detailing and oustanding craftsmanship, the entire Fyodor Golan Autumn Winter 2013 collection kept on giving. A vision of a strong and powerful femme fatale, perhaps even a villainess.

The story and collection evolved as it progressed, ending with beautiful colours and floral-like patterns that were a stark contrast to the dark, macabre and empowered aesthetic that had preceded it.

Our only disappointment was Fyodor Golan not running a showroom this season, which meant we couldn’t learn and then share with you the insight that went into this collection. With the exemplary work that happens behind the scenes at Fyodor Golan we think it’s a must to hear how the designers created and connected with their collection.

After all what Fyodor and Golan both have, is one of the greatest fashion talents in the industry.
