Jean Pierre Braganza Autumn Winter 2013

Over the years we have watched Jean Pierre Braganza closely and used collections within our editorials, but nothing prepared us for Autumn Winter 2013, which turned out to be one of the best collections I’ve ever seen. A collection that simply took our breath away.

Each and every look was as powerful and sharp as the last, which created a concise aesthetic that enthralled and claimed its place on the catwalk. The mixture of oriental and occult styles became a beautiful juxtaposition, while the cut of the garments empowered the models as they walked the runway.

The addition of fur to some of the garments was reminiscent of the wilderness, with all three aesthetics combined this created one hell of a look, perhaps something suited for Burning Man or a deserted wasteland.

Jean Pierre Braganza‘s collection history has been always remarkably strong and well received, but this collection was a true step above the rest, without a doubt the best JPB collection to date, and our all time favourite.
