We featured KTZ in our predictions piece Mourn Or Summon at the beginning of this week, hoping that the dark style fashion house would continue the Greek Gods concept they had worked so brilliantly at London Collections; Men.

It was obvious by the first look our rituals had been answered, and boy were we in for a treat. I remember saying as soon as the show had finished, that this was the strongest KTZ collection for a while, which is difficult as each season we see fantastic work from KTZ, but this just felt like another step up.

From armoured gauntlets to mesh dresses, the ancient Geek concept was carried forward by two dimensional busts both emblazoned on the garments and displayed on typically oversized accessories.

The structures and silhouettes were perfect, the semi structured bold cuts were typical of KTZ but also spot on. We even thought for a second that the entire collection would be monochrome. Only the faintest hint of gold metallic broke that thought.

It meant when we added all of this up what we got is not only a super creative and dark collection, but a collection that was grown-up, concise and strong. There’s no doubt it will sell, especially with the fan base KTZ have, but I have a feeling that this collection really could take them to the next level, and for that, we praise the Gods.
