Wednesday Addams tells Thanksgiving how it is

Thanksgiving is now a celebration of the foundations of America, and of course mostly now about family, great cooking and eating. But in reality, the suffering of the Native Americans and the violence they suffered was horrendous, and Commercialised Thanksgiving always glosses over it.

But in 1993 the writers of The Addams Family decided to shine a little light on it, courtesy of the incredible Wednesday Addams and the brilliant Christina Ricci. There is even a racial undertone, perhaps vocalising the views of middle America in the 90s. Just wait until Wednesday Addams plays her true part of the performance.

We are thankful for Wednesday making us reflect on just what happened all those years ago.
